RESTOCK POS - How to use

This module is made for our users that don't need a traditional point-of-sale system (POS) / payment processor (e.g. Veloce, Maitre'D, Lightspeed etc.) and are looking for a lighter solution connected to RESTOCK for ordering (with or without table service) while offering similar advantages in terms of sales and inventory management.

Activation

To activate RESTOCK POS, go to Location > Integrations then click to add a point of sale system. A panel will open allowing you to type and select RESTOCK POS.

Then, look for the Tablets subsection then add a device (or modify an existing one) that will be used for ordering. Make sure to turn on the POS module.

Single transaction mode

  • By default, order taking is in “single transaction” mode (a bit like in a convenience store).

Table service mode

  • Check the “With table service” box on the device that will be used for ordering;
  • Check the “Order display” box on the device that will be used to display orders in the kitchen.

Defining salable items

To make an item (product or recipe) available for sale, simply open the product sheet, then toggle the “Salable” icon for each of the formats you wish to sell. The item will now be available on the Restock POS.

Ordering

Single transaction mode

  • Add menu items to the order
  • Press "Order"

Table service mode

  • Select a table
  • Add customers
  • Add menu items to the order
  • Select food allergies if applicable
  • Add notes as needed
  • Press "Order"

Display of orders in the kitchen

This mode is only available when another tablet is configured for table service.

Orders taken are displayed live on this screen.

This user interface allows you to:

  • View orders to be prepared for each customer (by table)
  • Open recipe sheets
  • View customers allergies
  • Indicate that the order is ready
