Therm-IQ – Usage Guidelines

To ensure optimal performance of your probe and extend battery life, please follow the recommendations below:

1. Wi-Fi Signal Quality

The thermal probe relies on a stable and sufficiently strong Wi-Fi signal to operate efficiently.

  • The probe attempts to communicate with the Wi-Fi base approximately every 15 seconds.
  • If no signal is detected, it will keep searching until a connection is established.
  • Each search consumes energy, which can significantly reduce battery life.

Important: Place the Wi-Fi base close to the probe. Ensure it is in a clear, unobstructed area to minimize signal loss.

To ensure proper power supply, only Energizer Lithium batteries should be used with the Therm-IQ.

  • These batteries deliver the power required for reliable operation.
  • While more expensive initially, they can provide up to 30 months of battery life under optimal Wi-Fi conditions. They are designed to support the device even in demanding environments.

Always use this battery model to maintain consistent and reliable probe performance.
