# Therm-IQ-Usage Guideline

## Therm-IQ – Usage Guidelines

To ensure optimal performance of your probe and extend battery life, please follow the recommendations below:
### 1. Wi-Fi Signal Quality
The thermal probe relies on a stable and sufficiently strong Wi-Fi signal to operate efficiently.
* The probe attempts to communicate with the Wi-Fi base approximately **every 15 seconds**.
* If no signal is detected, it will **keep searching** until a connection is established.
* **Each search consumes energy**, which can significantly reduce battery life.

||| Important: Place the Wi-Fi base close to the probe. Ensure it is in a clear, unobstructed area to minimize signal loss.

### 2. Recommended Battery Type
To ensure proper power supply, **only Energizer Lithium batteries** should be used with the Therm-IQ.
* These batteries deliver the power required for reliable operation.
* While more expensive initially, they can provide **up to 30 months of battery life** under optimal Wi-Fi conditions. They are designed to support the device even in demanding environments.

||| Always use this battery model to maintain consistent and reliable probe performance.
